    Black and white photograph showing the proscenium of the Comedy Theatre. The photograph is taken from the centre of the dress circle so as to focus on the proscenium. The tympanum above the proscenium contains a relief sculpture, and the pendentives which carry the circular ceiling feature floral sprays; below, the frieze, the house tabs, the safety curtain, which is decorated with a stylised sunset design, the fronts of the stage boxes, and the orchestra pit, which is partially covered with fabric, can also be seen clearly.
