Place your vote for The Theatres Trust’s annual People’s Choice Award. Entries come from manufacturers or suppliers with products that are making inroads into sustainability – either through design, manufacture or operation.

Visitors are eligible to take part and can vote over the first three days of the show prior to the presentation of the Award at 5pm on Tuesday 13 September, at a drinks reception kindly sponsored by Clay Paky. All visitors welcome.


Ecovenue The Theatres Trust&ERDF

All 48 participants in The Theatres Trust’s sustainability project for small to medium sized London venues will be profiled on the stand, where visitors can find out more about making their venue more sustainable.

Space Invaders: Converting Spaces~Creating Theatres

Come and join us for the launch of our 2011 Conference Report. Mhora Samuel, Director of The Theatres Trust and Alistair Fair, the author of the Report, will introduce the best practice principles that emerged from the conference. The Arcola Theatre was one of the theatres featured during the conference. David Salter, the Technical Manager, and Jon Satow, the Project Manager, will consider the particular technical issues associated with the conversion of their new theatre at 24 Ashwin Street in Dalston, East London, and how they were addressed. Putting Sustainability Centre Stage: Practical ways to improve your venue’s performance

As part of PLASA’s Sustainability Tuesday Tim Atkinson, Theatre Building Services Adviser for The Theatres Trust, looks at technical methods on getting the most out of your building’s systems to communicating your goals and achievements to your venue’s users. We will also be looking at how detailed monitoring of energy distribution systems can bring big gains, and how the evolution of stage technologies has affected power use within theatres. This session draws on first hand experience to bring relevant information to the end users of buildings. Book here
