Chance to gain board-level experience at Theatres Trust

Theatres Trust is a host organisation for the new UK Boardroom Apprentice Programme.

UK Boardroom Apprentice is a unique 12-month board learning, development and placement programme which enables those who would like to serve on a public or third sector board to learn and gain the experience that they need to take that step. It seeks to enable a wider diversity people to serve on boards, allowing those without board experience to enhance their knowledge and understanding through in-depth learning and support.

Applications for the programme are open to people of all ages, from 16+, and all backgrounds and abilities, who have not held a board position on a public-sector body, or had experience on a private, voluntary, community or social enterprise board.

Theatres Trust Director Jon Morgan says “We believe the Boardroom Apprentice is a great way to give someone the opportunity to learn from a friendly and dynamic small organisation that ‘punches above its weight’. But just as importantly we want to learn by having people with different experiences and backgrounds joining us and feeding into our discussions and thinking. We believe the Boardroom Apprentice can help us do this and we are excited about being a Host Board.”
