The Theatres Trust seeks a Records Assistant. This is an important full-time role, responsible for all the Trust’s records, ensuring they are up-to-date, accessible and easily retrievable, working across our four service areas: Theatres at Risk; Theatres Advice; Grants; and Planning. Records include contact information, letters and emails, papers, publications, catalogues, hard-copy files, electronic files, digital images, collections and archival materials. In addition this job involves an important communications and fundraising role, maintaining records of our key contacts and donors and corresponding with them to ensure that our information is up-to-date.

The Theatres Trust seeks an individual or agency to provide media production services. Specifics include: organising the planning and production of print and other media products and ensuring all deadlines are met with production standards of the highest accuracy. This includes: commissioning and writing copy; sub-editing copy; commissioning, researching and assembling visual images in appropriate formats and file sizes; assembling advertising collateral, and preparing layouts for print and writing scripts and coding for online publication/applications.

Six theatres have been awarded funds towards small, high impact capital projects totalling £24,535 in the second round of grants from The Theatres Trust’s Theatres Protection Fund Small Grants Scheme. They are the Wyeside Arts Centre, Builth Wells; Bush Theatre, London; Robin Hood Theatre, Newark; Hackney Empire, London; Citadel Arts Centre, St Helens; and the Bacup Royal Court Theatre.

The Royal Court in Liverpool, Sleaford Playhouse, Oldham Coliseum, and Wilton’s Music Hall, the Half Moon Young People’s Theatre and the Soho Theatre in London are the first theatres to benefit from grants awarded by Trust’s new Theatres Protection Fund Small Grants Scheme.

Judy Craymer, MBE is delighted to show her support for The Theatres Trust by announcing a donation of £125,000 to its Theatres Protection Fund, matching the Fund’s opening donation by The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation.
