Countdown to DEC's........invitation to free information event

Free half day events being hosted by Communities and Local Government in partnership with Asset Skills and ESTA are to help public sector colleagues understand what they need to do to get ready for Display Energy Certificates (DECs).
Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are required for larger public buildings by 1 st October, as part of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). Central and local government, as well as public authorities and institutions will be affected across England and Wales.
The events will be at:–
Tuesday 01 July – Bristol Thursday 03 July – Birmingham Tuesday 08 July – London Thursday 10 July – Leeds
The programme will be aimed at energy managers, facilities managers and estates managers, and include presentations and workshops on the practical aspects of getting a DEC, such as:
what to do with a DEC and Advisory Report; producing an Operational Rating (OR); becoming an accredited DEC energy assessor; OR software demonstration; lessons learnt session looking at early DEC case studies; an exhibition including CLG, Accreditation Schemes and training and qualification bodies; open forum: your questions answered – and issues for the profession discussed.
There will also be the opportunity to meet accreditation bodies, awarding bodies and representatives from Communities and Local Government.
