Launch of The Theatres Trust 'DEC Pool' for performing arts venues
12th April 2011
Does your venue have a Display Energy Certificate? Do you think it reflects your building’s energy performance? Want to know who’s getting all the ‘A’s?
When: Tuesday 19 April 16:00
Where: PLASA Focus, Bury Theatre, The Royal Armouries, Leeds
Debate and share your experiences as The Theatres Trust launches an industry-wide ‘DEC Pool’, in which venues already holding the certificates are invited to participate by entering their DEC into the pool.
Following government consultation on whether DECs should become mandatory for all commercial premises frequently visited by the public, this seminar discusses whether one ‘theatres, music venues and concert halls’ benchmark can really represent the diversity of England, Wales and Northern Ireland’s performing arts building stock.
The Theatres Trust and Julie’s Bicycle are working together to address this issue and improve the benchmarking of theatre venue energy performance and will present their findings to date from the ERDF-backed Ecovenue sustainability project and the 100+ theatres using the Julie’s Bicycle promoted Industry Green and SMEasure online tool.
Can the pooling of information offer benefits to all buildings attempting to improve their building’s energy performance? See where you fit in to the bigger picture!
