Resilience Fund for Wales

The Arts Council of Wales will distribute £7m to organisations and individuals impacted by the coronavirus.

The Welsh Government has announced £18m of funding for the culture, creative industries and sport.

As part of this, the Arts Council of Wales will lead on a £7m Resilience Fund to support organisations and individuals impacted by the coronavirus. It is jointly funded by the Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh Government.

Additional information on the funding streams and timescales has now been announced.

Stabilisation Fund for Organisations – this will be open to both Arts Portfolio Wales (APW) organisations and organisations outside the Portfolio. For APW organisations the eligibility criteria will depend on whether they can benefit from government support and the level of grant-in-aid funding as a proportion of their overall income. Further eligibility criteria and guidelines are now available.  Applications can be made between Tuesday 21 April to Friday 8 May.

There are also two fund schemes for individuals:

Urgent Response Fund for Individuals will offer grants of up to £2,500. There will be two rounds – round 1 open between Tuesday 14 April and Monday 20 April, round two open between Tuesday 28 April and Wednesday 6 May. 

Stabilisation Fund for Individuals will offer grants between £1,000 and £10,000. It will open on Friday 29 May with a deadline of 15 June. Further information will be available on 23 April.
