AJ Architecture Awards shortlist

Congratulations to the architects and theatre building operators announced as finalists at the Architects’ Journal Architecture Awards, which showcase stand-out built projects in the UK.

Three theatre projects feature in the Cultural category:

• Sheppard Robson’s overhaul of the striking Contact Theatre in Manchester
• WGP Architects’ New Wolsey Theatre NW2 Participation Building and Theatre Square
• Archer Humphryes’ retrofit and extension of Camden’s KOKO concert venue

Citizens Design Bureau’s repair and upgrade of Jackson’s Lane Arts Centre, a multi-arts venue in Highgate, north London has been announced as a finalist in the Community and Faith category.
