Theatres Trust welcomes Boardroom Apprentice Manpreet Gill

We are delighted that Manpreet Gill is joining us through the scheme that widens the diversity on boards.

To increase the diversity and breadth of experience of our board, Theatres Trust signed up as Host Board for the Boardroom Apprentice scheme.

We were pleased to be matched with Manpreet Gill, who will be joining our board and related committees throughout 2023.

Manpreet says “I have a desire to serve society and communities, so it was striking for me when I read about the Boardroom Apprentice scheme, which identifies with the same core value. I also want to help break-down barriers to entry at the boardroom level for others, by representing working parents, women and ethnic minorities as well as role modelling for younger people. I believe that the best solutions and decisions come from the widest perspective and I want to actively play a role in fostering diversity in the way issues are approached.”

“I was luckily enough to be matched to my choice for host board, I have always found theatre magical, it invokes joy and empathy in audiences and theatre offers a unique perspective to people’s lives. There is a duty to ensure all people are able to benefit from the UK’s rich theatre culture, I am so honoured to be able to join the Theatres Trust as an Apprentice Trustee and be involved in such hugely rewarding work.”
