  • Various works at the Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House

    The Trust supported a proposal to bring four vacant retail units in-house and convert them to a new café/bar, as well as providing a new individual atrium for the Opera North's Howard Assembly Room, a new education suite and refurbishment at Premier House

  • Housing and function room proposal for Morley's New Pavilion

    The Trust objected to a proposal at the New Pavilion, citing insufficient evidence that it cannot be maintained for cultural use. The former theatre/cinema became one of the country's most prominent techno nightclubs, but has been vacant since 2009.

  • Temporary toilets at Leeds Playhouse during theatre renovation

    The Trust supported the temporary installation of two external 'Portakabins' outside the Leeds Playhouse (formerly the West Yorkshire Playhouse) whilst the theatre undergoes renovation.

  • New DDA-compliant lift at Blackfriars Arts Centre, Boston

    The Trust welcomed a proposal to make minor internal alterations to facilitate a new DDA-compliant lift to improve the theatre's accessibility. The theatre is Grade II* listed, some of which dates back to the 13th Century when part of a friary.

  • Extension proposed at Chester's Little Theatre

    The Trust welcomed revised proposals by the Chester Little Theatre to provide an extension to the theatre which will provide enhanced wheelchair accessibility and improve the theatre's operational abilities.

  • Mini-Golf proposal at Derby's former Grand Theatre

    The Trust supported a proposal to covert the former Grand Theatre, most recently used as a restaurant, to a mini-golf centre with ancillary bar and restaurant.

  • Temporary car park proposed on land at Brighton Hippodrome

    The Trust raised no objections to a bid to utilise land behind the Brighton Hippodrome as car parking for a temporary period, but cautioned against anything more permanent and recommended a condition maintaining service access to the Hippodrome.

  • Trust objects to canopy on neighbouring site

    The Trust strongly objected to a proposal by the neighbouring property installing a new structure infilling a courtyard alongside the theatre up to its flank wall, preventing access for routine or essential maintenance of the Grade II listed theatre.

  • Replacement digital signage at Bradford's Alhambra

    the Trust supported proposals by the theatre to replace their existing hoardings and posters with new digital signage.

  • Pleasance Theatre proposes new modular theatre at its Islington site

    The Pleasance Theatre in Islington plans to install a third performance space, which is an 80-seat modular theatre which will re-locate to the Edinburgh Festival each year. The Trust supported this proposal.

  • Ceiling works and refurishments at London's Queen's Theatre

    In a similar nature to other recent proposals, the Trust welcomed and supported repairs and refurbishments to the Queen's Theatre's suspended fibrous plaster ceiling.

  • Replacement plant deck and works at London Palladium

    Proposals to replace the theatre's plant deck at roof level were supported, which reduces the current footprint and is more efficient. The proposal also creates additional space within the theatre for future use as hospitality space.
