SIBMAS Conference 2012: Innovative Techniques for Performing Arts Collections, Libraries and Museums 25/26 October

8th October 2012

Performing arts collections exist within a fast-changing environment. Shifts in the world economy mean that collections managers have to be ever more resourceful in their problem-solving; at the same time, constant technological advances provide us with the potential to manage collections and meet public expectations in new ways.

The 2012 SIBMAS Conference will provide a showcase of innovative ideas, from the economical and low-tech, to the latest in applied technology. The conference programme will include presentations from invited speakers, papers proposed by colleagues working within performing arts collections, and a session of exhibition papers.

The SIBMAS Conference will involve an interesting programme of papers, an evening reception as guests of the French Institute in London, and a chance to visit the V&A’s major exhibition, ‘Hollywood Costume’ – all included in the delegate fee.

Friday 26 October 10.15-13.30, admission to Hollywood Costume exhibition from 14.00
