Work set to start on Austin-Smith Lord’s Guildford arts complex

The £26 million arts complex by Austin-Smith Lord, for Guildford Borough Council, will feature a 1,700 capacity auditorium, a 150 capacity studio theatre as well as seminar and conference rooms. The building will also have a biomass boiler fuelled by locally sourced wood chips. Work is due to start later this month with completion scheduled for 2011.
