Accessible Theatres Scheme launched
In association with the Theatre Development Trust, we are pleased to announce a new grant scheme to improve access in theatres.
This scheme is for innovative projects that improve the accessibility of professional theatre buildings for audiences and workforces. The projects can be for front of house or back of house improvements. This scheme will fund building works and equipment and applications that demonstrate engagement with disabled user groups as part of the project planning will be scored highly.
Applicants must be organisational members of UK Theatre, Federation of Scottish Theatres, Independent Theatre Council or Creu Cymru and must pay union rates (i.e. contracts under Equity/BECTU agreements).
We recommend applying for grants of up to £5,000 but may be able to fund up to £10,000 for exceptional, innovative projects.
