Dundee Repertory Theatre awarded A-listed status

Historic Environment Scotland has announced that Dundee Repertory Theatre has been awarded A-listed status in recognition of its special architectural significance.

Theatres Trust wrote in support of the listing application, on account of it being an architecturally distinctive building, which won a RIBA Architecture Award and as one of the few shining examples of post-war repertory theatre buildings in the UK. Its original theatre layout and plan form survives and it has an intact internal decorative scheme, detailing and original fittings.

We are therefore pleased that the listing application has been successful and Dundee Repertory Theatre has been given Category A status and added to the list of Scotland's most significant buildings.
