Seminar: DEC Pool - dive in….

2nd March 2011

Does your venue have a Display Energy Certificate? Do you think it reflects your building’s energy performance? Want to know who’s getting all the ‘A’s…?

The Theatres Trust is pleased to announce it is holding a one hour seminar at Plasa Focus in Leeds where you can debate and share your experiences.

Following government consultation on whether DECs should become mandatory for all commercial premises frequently visited by the public, this seminar discusses whether one ‘theatres, music venues and concert halls’ benchmark can really represent the diversity of England, Wales and Northern Ireland’s performing arts building stock, and the findings to date from the ERDF-backed ‘Ecovenue’ sustainability project.

Can the pooling of information offer benefits to all buildings attempting to improve their building’s energy performance.See where you fit in to the bigger picture….

The Theatres Trust will also launch an industry-wide ‘DEC Pool’, in which venues already holding the certificates are invited to participate.

Speaker(s): Tim Atkinson, Theatre Building Services Adviser, The Theatres Trust

Audience: Theatre Managers, Building Managers, Operations Managers, current Display Energy Certificate holders, Energy Assessors.
