Joseph Rowntree Theatre receives J&C Joel Setting the Stage Fund award
York theatre received £10,000 worth of products from the international stage equipment company as part of partnership with Theatres Trust.
As part of the Theatres Trust being J&C Joel's Charity of the Year for its 40th anniversary year, together we offered an in-kind support fund, worth £10,000 to one UK based not-for-profit theatre.
Following a huge amount of interest in the fund from theatres across the country, the Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York was chosen.
J & C Joel has replaced all of the theatre’s stage curtains and upgraded scenery-moving equipment to enable even bigger and better shows to be produced at the gem of an Art Deco community theatre on Haxby Road.
