Arts Council England Capital Investment Programme recipients
Theatres Trust welcomes news that a number of theatres and arts centres will receive a share of the £22.7m funding to improve their buildings or digital infrastructure.
Arts Council England has announced details of the 66 organisations that will receive grants between £100,000 and £750,000 to adjust buildings and equipment so that they can operate safely post-pandemic and improve access, seize on technological opportunities, and reduce environmental impact.
Research for Theatres Trust by leading consultancies AECOM, Avison Young, Bristow Consulting and Buro Happold revealed that more than £1bn is needed to make the UK’s theatre buildings resilient, sustainable and suitable for modern and future audiences.
We are therefore pleased to see a number of theatres and arts centres including Birmingham Hippodrome, Liverpool’s Royal Court, Peterborough New Theatre, Z-Arts in Manchester, Bush Theatre, Rich Mix and Yard Theatre in London receive much needed funding.
Read details of all the recipients on the Arts Council England website.
